Avatar Drawings
The Avatar Drawings series is based on graphics previously created by JRR. They are black and white on paper and cardboard using a mixed media – pencil, sledgehammer, chalk, pastel chalk. Many of the drawings were studies, many were sketches for later oil paintings, many were done by the artist for galleries. The drawings cover the period 1980-2020. They are very mixed in subject matter, female nudes, female portraits, half-length drawings, female dancers, but there are also animal portraits.
